A helicopter carrying Y.S.R. Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, reportedly went missing in a dense (Hard to pass) forest while the minister was on a routine district tour, early on Wednesday. The forested region is said to be infested by the Naxalite rebels.
In a press conference, state Finance Minister K. Rosaiah had reportedly stated that the chief minister as well as the chopper was still untraceable.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy still remain unknown, several hours before his helicopter went missing over the deep forest areas in the southern region of the Andhra pradesh state.Hundreds of Congress party workers and fans gathered at the state secretariat here waiting to hear some news about safety of chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

On the contrary, according to the CM’s office, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is safe and is traveling by road. The inside sources revealed that when the chopper landed, there was a call from one of the security guards who said that the CM was safe.
